Set up by husband and wife team Lynn and Brian, Prospect Catering has been looking after members of Rathfarnham Golf Club since 1990.
Brian who originally trained in RTC Galway went on to work in the International Hotel and the Europe Hotel in Killarney for 4 seasons whilst gaining experience in Zurich, Switzerland for one year, returning to work as Chef de partie in many of Switzerland’s top skiing resorts including Davos, Arosa and Flims in the Graubünden Region. In between Winter seasons Brian worked in many five star Hotels including The Shelbourne, and the Westbury here in Dublin and the Portelet Bay Hotel in Jersey before becoming Head chef in” Osprey’s” on Shelbourne road, and “Rhymers” Restaurant on Merrion row, before heading to the magnificent Five Star Jasper Park Lodge Resort in the Rocky mountains in Canada, before returning to Dublin in 1990.

In 2013 Brian completed “The Mgmt. of Food Hygiene “course in level 3 D.I.T Dublin and was awarded a Distinction.
In 2015 Prospect Catering were nominated for “Best Casual Dining in a Private Club” by the Restaurant Association of Ireland along with the K Club, Adare Manor and eventual winners Restaurant 41 on the Green.
Brian’s Menus are based on quality fresh produce, home cooked foods with balanced flavours, and stylish simple presentation.
Our Chefs and staff are dedicated to providing a consistent standard of food and service to cater for Golf members and their guests. Our reputation is everything and we strive to offer a friendly environment for people to relax and enjoy.
